It was barely 2 ft tall when it was planted on my lawn. 28 years later it is a warming reminder of how many memories were made in this home.
Every spring it blooms into the most beautiful blossom laden reminder of survival. And at the end of spring it blankets the lawn with it’s gorgeous baby pink petals.
It is an inspiration to all of us who struggle with health issues, whether those issues are with weight loss, mental or emotional health, life threatening or chronic conditions, or simply trying to eat better. After being electrocuted twice it still blossoms year after year.
“Yet here it stands, proudly displaying it’s wounds for all to see”
So when I get discouraged or angry that I need to be conscience of what I eat or my blood sugar. I remember this tree and say, “if this tree can add to the beauty of the world and demonstrate growth and victory against the odds,
so can I!” And so can you!
